The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program, a part of the American Rescue Plan, delivers $350 billion to state, local, and Tribal governments across the country to support their response to and recovery from the COVID-19 public health emergency. Andrew County, MO has been allocated a total of $3,440,348 in SLFRF. The County received its first tranche of SLFRF on June 1, 2021 in the amount of $1,720,174 and will receive its second tranche after June 1, 2022. The Andrew County Commission, in collaboration with the Andrew County Treasurer, adopted the Andrew County Strategies for Distributing SLFRF to guide the County’s decisions in distributing their allocated FRF.

As noted in the Andrew County Strategies for Distributing SLFRF, the Andrew County Commission is committed to applying its allocated FRF to address larger capital improvement projects within the County. The types of projects the Commission targets will have long-term impacts on the community. The Andrew County FRF-Funded Infrastructure Grant Program has been developed by the Andrew County Commission, in conjunction with the Andrew County Treasurer and Andrew County Clerk, to encourage collaboration between Andrew County and other public entities to address County infrastructure issues related to clean water, drinking water, stormwater, wastewater, and broadband.
